Jill Duggar's pregnancy timeline has raised some interesting questions, but the math that allegedly "proves" she had sex before marriage is just wrong.
The speculation began because of the most recent Jill Duggar baby bump photo, in which she holds a sign proclaiming #BabyDilly is 13 weeks and a day old.
Jill married Derick Dillard June 21 in Springdale, Ark, and a little over two months later, the duo announced they are expecting their first child together.
No question about it, that was extremely quick ... but they didn't conceive before they tied the knot. Heck, they didn't even kiss, as per the courtship rules.
With this documented so thoroughly on TV (which you know if you watch 19 Kids and Counting online), why is anyone even doubting Jill on this subject?
Because 13 weeks and one day along (or 93 days), but her three days ahead of the amount of time she's been married, or 90 days from the photo date.
It's not that simple, of course, and we'll explain why ...
When it comes to calculating conception, the counting begins not from the date of sexual intercourse, but the first day of one's last normal menstrual period.
In other words, like two weeks before a child is conceived. So while Jill and Derick wasted no time getting it on after they tied the knot, they totes held off.
If Jill's last period started 13 weeks and one day ago, she and Derick likely made the littlest Duggar about 11 weeks ago, at the end of June or early July.
It is calculated this way because it is often difficult to pinpoint the exact date a woman conceives, but the first date of her last period is much easier to pin down.
From there, tack on 40 weeks, or 280 days, and you've got a due date. So look for the already hashtagged #BabyDilly to come along about mid-March.
