Boardwalk Empire has received criticism over the last few weeks with season five getting off to a very slow and uneventful start but it looks as though it'll finally start picking up the pace with a preview for episode four teasing plenty of action, heart-racing scenes and possibly the end for one main character?
In the 30-second preview, Nucky Thompson is seen finally coming face-to-face with his wife Margaret and it looks as though they could be joining forces to solve a shared problem. Will they be able to put their turbulent history behind them though? After all, Nucky was involved in the gruesome murder of her ex-boyfriend who happened to be his right-hand man.
The teaser also hints that the net is closing in on Nelson Van Alden who may be finally realising the dangers of joining Al Capone's crew, with the power-crazed gangster holding a gun to the unlucky former prohibition officer's head. Will he pull the trigger though? He's not the only one who could have landed himself in danger though as Nucky's Bonnie to his Clyde, Sally - played by the awesome Patricia Arquette - may have gotten herself in too deep when meeting with some business clients.
Lucky Luciano also makes a brief appearance in the preview, although it's long enough for him to hint at what lies ahead, saying moodily: "Change is coming," while Capone replies: "Surprise me" before belting out a terrifying evil laugh.
There's only eight episodes in this season before Boardwalk Empire comes to a grand finale for good, so we're expecting some pretty dramatic scenes to happen sharpish! Check out the gripping episode preview below:
