Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o made sure that her reputation as a style mavern remained intact as she wore with two stunning dresses on Saturday.
The radiant 31-year-old attended the 2014 annual Garden Brunch in Washington DC alongside her mother Dorothy before leading the stylish stars at the White House Correspondents' dinner.
Lupita looked incredible in a Giambattista Valli satin strapless gown which had a puffball skirt detail at the first event of the day at the Beall-Washington House.

The elegant number had a rose print running through it and ruching around the bustline.
Posing for photographs, the Hollywood star held a golden clutch bag by Judith Leiber and earrings by Fred Leighton. She topped off the look with gold Christian Louboutin shoes.
She kept her make-up minimal, save for a slick of ox-blood lipstick which matched the tones in her fairytale gown perfectly.

Her proud mother looked equally lovely in a golden lace gown which she teamed with two-tone pumps.
No doubt Lupita enjoyed catching up with fellow actresses Freida Pinto, Diane Lane, and Rose McGowan as A-list stars came out in force for the glitzy party in support of veterans and military families.
The actress then made an equally stunning sartorial display at the annual White House Correspondent's Dinner as she arrived in an eye-catching in a black and white spotty peplum style gown by designer Oscar de La Renta.

The elegant event attracts a slew of stars dressed up in their most glamorous ensembles and Lupita continued her winning streak in the flattering dress.

Lupita's career has gone stratospheric in recent months. Not content with being the face of Lancome Paris, she is also rumoured to have two new film roles in the pipeline.
She is thought to be taking a role in upcoming thriller Who Shot The Sheriff as well as a part in the remake of 1967 classic movie The Jungle Book.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nyong'o is in final negotiations to voice the character of mother wolf Rakcha, who adopts Mowgli and raises him as her own.
So far, the only cast member signed to the project is Golden Globe-winner Idris Elba, who will play Mowgli's arch nemesis, Shere Khan, the man-eating tiger.
