It might be a fairly conservative affair, but singer Lily Allen still managed to put her own edgy stamp on proceedings when she turned up at the Met Gala in New York on Monday night.
The 29-year-old walked down the red carpet at the prestigious fashion affair wearing a grey and pink 'ribbon' style dress, which showed off her trim figure.
Wearing her hair in a plaited up-do, the Hard Out Here hitmaker looked confident as she posed for photographers with one hand on her hip.

She kept her make-up minimal, save for a slick of liquid eyeliner and she topped off the look with a bejewelled clutch bag and a matching manicure.
Lily's husband, Sam Cooper, did not appear to be with the star on the night and she was instead accompanied by American fashion writer and friend Derek Blasberg.
Before arriving at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, Lily uploaded a photo of her and her pal grimacing in the car as they made their way to the event, hosted by Anna Wintour.

She simply captioned the image: 'Metball lols'. Later on, the excited star posted a picture of herself with rapper Asap Rocky.
Each year, American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour hosts the bash, held at famous museum venue.
Wintour - who is co-hosting this year's party with Sarah Jessica Parker and Bradley Cooper – is charging $25,000 at ticket, $10,000 more than last year's price.

The theme is White Tie And Decorations, an ode to Anglo-American designer Charles James.
Guests will reportedly be paying tribute to the late couturier by donning high-end vintage looks such as ballgowns and long gloves.
Other British stars to attend the event included Suki Waterhouse, David and Victoria Beckham and Rita Ora.
