Rudy" is NOT the greatest sports movie of all-time ... it's not even the greatest FOOTBALL movie of all-time ... so says Rudy himself,
Sean Astin.
Despite the stadium chanting (which never really happened) ... and the dramatic jersey scene (which also never really happened) ... Rudy always seems to get the shaft when it comes to it's place in cinematic history.
And Astin kept up the trend ... 'cause after giving it some serious thought -- Sean decided on his choice for best sports movie ever ... a movie that came out 7 years after "Rudy."
Still, try to watch the scene when Rudy gets in the game and try not to get misty eyed. We dare you.
