"Keeping weight on is a struggle for me," says Emma. "Especially when I'm under stress and especially as I've gotten older. That's the way my genes have decided to go and things will change as time goes on, as everything does."
Emma added that her difficulty with maintaining a healthy weight has made rumors that she starves herself all the more frustrating:
"When completely untrue statements are made about me or my health, of course a part of me wants to defend," she says. "Thing is, people have a right to imagine what they want to imagine."
Emma also stated again that she feels her main responsibilities are to herself and to the young girls who look up to her: "I remind myself to be kind to myself, and as slightly ridiculous as it may sound, to treat myself the same gentle way I'd treat a daughter of mine."
Emma sounds surprisingly Zen on the matter of people spreading false, vicious rumors about her.
Of course, she stunned on the red carpet at last night's 2014 MET Gala, proving once again that looking hot will always be the best revenge.
