Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley is on the mend after years of alcoholism nearly killed him, thanking fans for their support and heading home at last.
The 34-year-old recently opened up about his condition, posting harrowing pictures from a month-long hospitalization after his liver and kidneys "collapsed on [him]."
On May 24, Whibley posted an update on his condition on his website:
"Hey everyone, I just wanted to thank you so much for sending gifts and all of the compassion and support you have shown me. It really means a lot to me in this time of recovery."
"I will be better soon and back out on stage before you know it."
He's looking much thinner, but he survived. Be well, Deryck.
