Solange Knowles might be a perfect example of why some celebrities believe that any publicity is good publicity. Beyoncé's younger sister seems to have benefited from the publicity received after being caught on video attacking Jay Z.
According to HipHopDX, Solange's digital sales reached 2000 during the week the footage was released. This is a major improvement from the week before in which the singer had only 600.

It's likely that the reason for the spike is because of the security footage released by TMZ, which shows Solange violently attacking Jay Z in an elevator.
The incident took place while Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Solange attended the Met Gala earlier this month.
The footage shows Solange shouting at Jay Z as she physically tries to punch him and kick him. At one point, it even looks like she spits at him.
Solange has never been able to live up to big sister Beyoncé's music success. Although she has released two albums, none of them have had any notable chart success.
Her upcoming third solo album will be released under her own record label named Saint Records.
