Can Ariana Grande Break The UK? 'Problem' Release Confirmed Following International Success
May 7th 2014, 17:54

Ariana Grande's debut album Yours Truly performed strongly in the UK considering the promotion over here was quite minimal - but she could go stratospheric with new single 'Problem' when it's released in July.

The song, featuring Iggy Azalea, has already vaulted to No1 on the iTunes charts in 47 countries since been unveiled, and will finally see the light of day over here on July 6.

The track has won huge acclaim and commercial glory in the likes of the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Mexico, as well as in mainland Europe and Latin America.

The track was assembled by serial hitmakers Max Martin and Savan Kotecha, who between them have penned anthems for the likes of Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson and One Direction.

The strategy of UK release mirrors the likes of Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato in 2013, who built on their existing fanbases and moderate successes to go for big all-out campaigns with respective hits 'Come & Get It' and 'Heart Attack', which both won Top 10 placements.

Do you think 'Problem' can give Ariana her first UK smash hit?
