George Clooney and British lawyer Amal Alamuddin are rumoured to be engaged and despite no official confirmation, the 36 year-old's colleagues have already wished them the best claiming they're "delighted" at the news.
Speculation the couple are set to wed after just six months of dating began over the weekend when Amal was reported to have been spotted rocking an engagement ring. While a rep for the actor has refused to comment on the star's private life, barristers and staff at Doughty Street Chambers have already given their congratulations.
In a statement to The Telegraph they offered, "their best wishes and congratulations to Ms Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr George Clooney on their engagement to be married".

Joint Head of Chambers, Geoffrey Robertson QC offered his personal congratulations the couple and praising Amal he said: "Amal Alamuddin is a brilliant and passionate defender of human rights who has put in the enormously hard work necessary to improving them. She is respected and admired by all her colleagues."

While Chief Executive, Robin Jackson, went on: "Amal has been utterly wonderful since she arrived in Chambers. She brings a bright light to everything she is involved in, and I am so delighted at her happy news".
Amal is a break from Clooney's usual ladies. After ending his first marriage the star has been in a series of short relationships which haven't last more than a few years, but according to insiders the British legal star has changed all that. Brains and beauty, the 36 year-old was voted London's "hottest" female lawyer last year.
