Sharon Stone is heading to New Orleans as it's announced the actress has joined the cast of American Ultra, which started shooting in the city this week.
Stone has signed on to the all star movie which has already seen Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart start shooting scenes this week.
The Wrap report that the 55-year-old Hollywood icon has taken over from the part originally earmarked for Uma Thurman, whose deal never quite made it through.
Eisenberg stars as Mike, an unmotivated stoner whose small-town life with his live-in girlfriend, Phoebe (Stewart), is turned upside down when he finds out he's actually a highly trained, lethal sleeper agent in a government program created by Victoria Lasseter (Stone).

It was also announced this week that Independence Day star Bill Pullman and Tony Hale have joined the cast of the action-comedy, with Topher Grace, John Leguizamo and Walton Goggins already signed up.
Kristen has gone all out for the role, even dying her hair orange with the Twilight star spotted on set yesterday rocking her very different look. The actress' hectic 2014 has already seen her complete work on family drama Still Alice alongside Julianne Moore and Alec Baldwin, which wrapped filming in New York just a couple of weeks ago.
