Apr 15th 2014, 14:20

Michael Buble and Robbie Williams may have some stiff competition from Peter Andre who has switched up the sound for his new album 'Big Night' with the lead single promising to be a huge hit.

The 41-year-old has been enjoying fatherhood to new baby daughter Amelia in recent months but he'll be bursting back onto the music scene with a brand new album and new single 'Big Night,' both of which boast a "big band" bluesy sound.

The album, which will be Peter's ninth studio LP, will feature a collection of 11 songs while there will be three bonus tracks through iTunes, all inspired by his recent trip to New Orleans which is famous for its live music and soulful blues bands.

Speaking about the anticipated record, Peter said: "I am so excited for you all to hear this new sound – it's so different and is the type of album that I have wanted to do for many years. Now is the time – enjoy Big Night."

Peter's new album will be inspired by a 23-date tour across the UK which kicks off on September 26 and he'll no doubt put on a great show translating his soul tracks with a 10-piece band.
