Teresa Giudice Sentenced to 15 Months in Prison! Oct 2nd 2014, 21:16, by Tyler Johnson This morning, Joe Giudice was sentenced to 41 months in prison, stemming from his conviction on several counts of fraud, to which he pleaded guilty back in March. His wife - Teresa Giudice - was forced to wait several hours to find out her own fate, and just minutes ago, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star got what was coming to her: Teresa was sentenced to 15 months behind bars! Prior to their sentencing, the Giudices were reprimanded by Judge Esther Salas for being dishonest in financial documents requested by the court. Salas also stated that she was forced to delay the Giudices' sentencing as they were several months late in filing the documents pertaining to the case. It's unclear as to whether or not the late submission and missing information factored into the Salas' decision to throw the book at the Giudices, but it couldn't have helped. Sources inside the courtroom say the judge was very clearly not happy with the Giudices, and Teresa's attempts to win sympathy were unsuccessful. Not too surprising as we're talking about Joe and Teresa Giudice. Teresa pleaded with the judge to go easy on her with house arrest so that she could care for the couple's four children while her husband was locked up. And now for the classic. Teresa's face is priceless as she famously flips the table. Bravo. Bravo. She reportedly claimed that the way she's depicted on Bravo is misleading and the result of scripted scenes and careful editing. Possibly true, but a moot point. The judge was uninterested in the Giudices various excuses, but she has allowed for Teresa and Joe to serve their sentences at different times. That way, at that one parent will be around to raise their children. Sources say Teresa spent the morning receiving beauty treatments, joking that she wanted to look good for her mug shot. At least her priorities are in line. She reportedly cried hysterically as the sentence was announced. According to reports, Teresa is scheduled to begin serving her sentence on January 5.
