CBS have been ordered to pay $10.4 million to the family of Julio Villamariona, who who died at age 52 on the set of NCIS
Julio, who was working as a security guard, was killed three years ago, after a production van owned by CBS crashed into him. The tragic accident happened when the driver suffered a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle.
But CBS admitted that the driver's pre-existing medical condition should have been known, so did not dispute the family's claim for compensation, instead choosing to negotiate on a suitable amount.
