Amanda Bynes Found At LAX: 'Obviously High' And 'Acting Bizzarely' En Route To New York
Oct 3rd 2014, 15:08

After her arrest last Sunday, Amanda Bynes has been keeping a relatively low profile, but she was apparently causing quite a scene at LAX on Thursday as she waited to board a flight to New York.

TMZ claim the actress, who was booked for a DUI late on Sunday, was at an airport restaurant "acting bizarre," and applying "excessive" makeup, while complaining about her life. Sources reportedly added that Bynes was "visibly high," throughout the day. Earlier, she'd been spotted at a hair salon in Thousand Oaks, California where her parents live, getting a dye job.

According to TMZ she caught a flight to New York, which could mean bad news for the actress. Since 2012 Amanda has been on a downward spiral. After several arrests she moved to the Big Apple to start a career in fashion, however this seemingly didn't go to plan and she continued to act out.

Last Summer, after setting fire to a neighbours driveway in One Thousand Oaks, she was placed under a psychiatric hold by the state of California, for mental assessment. She then spent five months in rehab, before being let out into the care of her parents, Rick and Lynn, who had been granted a conservatorship over her estate. This lapsed last month, though they've claimed to the media, they believed she's getting better.

Amanda is said to be due back in court on October 23 to answer her DUI charges, as she's already on probation for previous convictions, it'll be interesting to see how it goes. According to experts, she'll likely to skip jail-time.

"This is not good news for Ms. Bynes. Amanda is on probation from a conviction of what is referred to as a 'wet reckless' charge, which is reckless driving with alcohol involved. The problem is that a wet reckless conviction counts as a prior DUI if one is convicted of a subsequent DUI," California-based trial attorney, David Wohl, told FOX411.

"If convicted in this current case she will have to complete an 18 month alcohol program, receive fines of greater than $2,000, have to place an ignition interlock device on her car and possibly lose her driver's license for up to a year."
