It must be a difficult task to decide on the perfect gown for the opening ceremony of Cannes Film Festival.
And for Kylie Jenner the choice would have been even harder as she made her first ever appearance at the opening ceremony alongside stars such as Nicole Kidman and Blake Lively.
Unfortunately for the model, her black and white Chanel dress failed to dazzle onlookers as she posed on the red carpet.

The 18-year-old looked chic in the simplistic gown which featured a scrunched monochrome patterned overlay.
She let to focus lie on the corsage style overlay which led into a plain black midi skirt with a central split.
Kendall teamed the gown with black strappy heels and a silver clutch while she showcased some impressive bling in the form of two Chopard rings.

Taking to Instragram she showed off her jewels with the caption: 'No ones putting a ring on it so I put 2 .... #FestivalDeCannes #Chopard'.
Her picture gave a closer look at her bag which had a textured diamond design while she also revealed her black manicure.
She also accessorised with a sparkling diamond bracelet and large glittering earrings.

Kendall's appearance at the festival follows her attendance at the Met Ball last week and further fuels rumours that she's going to be starring in her very own US Vogue shoot.
