Donald Sterling Asks for Forgiveness: I'll Never Be Racist Again!
May 12th 2014, 10:07, by Hilton Hater

Donald Sterling is asking for your forgiveness.

The embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner sat down with Anderson Cooper yesterday for an interview that will air tonight on CNN.

During the exchange, Sterling took responsible for the racist remarks he made to V. Stiviano, while also denying talk that he actually is a racist.

I'm not a racist," he reportedly told Cooper. "I made a terrible mistake. I'm here to apologize."

This interviews marks Sterling's first official comments about the audio recordings that hit the Internet last month, in which he berated Stiviano for being seen with African-Americans and in which he said she was "stupid" for thinking one's skin color doesn't matter.

In the sit-down with Cooper, Sterling admitted he was "wrong" for saying such things, but also claimed Stiviano "baited" him into doing so.

"I don't know, an 80-year-old man is kind of foolish, and I'm kind of foolish," he said. "I thought she liked me and really cared for me. I guess being 51 years older than her, I was diluting myself."

Poor Donald Sterling, huh folks?

Sterling insists the awful words heard by millions - including players, all of whom LeBron James said over the weekend do NOT want anyone associated with Sterling to own the Clippers - are "not the way I talk."

He also plans to fight the NBA and remain one of the league's owners.

"I'm a good member who made a mistake and I'm apologizing and I'm asking for forgiveness," Sterling told Cooper. "Am I entitled to one mistake, am I after 35 years? I mean, I love my league, I love my partners. Am I entitled to one mistake? It's a terrible mistake, and I'll never do it again."
