Katie Price's best friend Jane Poutney has released a statement admitting she did have an affair with the star's husband Kieran Hayler and claims she "deeply regrets" the fling.
A statement released to the media by Jane and husband Derek today, confirmed what Price had said about the rumoured relationship earlier this week in a Twitter rant. It said: Statement on behalf of Jane and Derek Pountney.
"We make this statement to clear up some recent misreporting and to ask that the press now respect our privacy. We are not public figures and do not seek publicity. Having journalists and photographers camped outside out house is causing immense strain and is harassment.
"Please do not knock on the door, please do not photograph us. We would ask, politely, that having made this statement we are left alone.

"This is the only statement we have or will make on this subject. Please note Jane does not have a Twitter account and has no intention of setting one up.
"It is true that Jane and Kieran Hayler had an affair. This is something that Jane deeply regrets and we will not provide any more details about it. It is true that Kate found out about this affair on Wednesday 7 May 2014.
"Current reports regarding this being 'a storm in a teacup' and the affair being a "drunken kiss" do not accurately reflect the situation. Those remarks should not be used to undermine Kate's account which we accept is accurate.
"We are going to spend some time together deciding what our future holds and would reiterate that we would appreciate now being left alone to do that."
Katie is currently six months pregnant with Kieran's second child, with their first Jett only arriving nine months ago. The couple tied the knot in a Caribbean beach ceremony in January 2013 just weeks after meeting. It'll be the reality TV star's third divorce, she was previously married to cagefighter Alex Reid and TV star Peter Andre.
