But now it seems the whole wedding could be even more surprising than we originally thought as the Hollywood hunk is rumoured to be marrying on the set of Downton Abbey.
Last week the megastar flew into London with his bride-to-be for a romantic country break including an exclusive private tour of the Downton set. The visit was arranged by his The Monuments Men co-star and Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville, Mail Online report.

Amal is said to be a huge fan of the hit drama and after visiting the Highclere Castle where the series is filmed she now reportedly has her heart set on walking down the isle at the Berkshire estate.
The love birds are believed to be planning to wed this September, marking the one-year anniversary of the day they first met, with 120 lucky guests which is sure to give Kimye a run for their money in the wedding of the year stakes because who needs Florence when you can have Downton?

George's stunning fiancé who works as a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers has been spotted all over London flaunting an enormous diamond ring.
The Gravity star is now said to be moving to England following the romantic nuptials so Amal can continue with her thriving career.
