The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has triumphed at the US box office, nailing a $92 million haul in its opening weekend.
The film, starring Andrew Garfield as the titular superhero, has easily beaten last week's winner The Other Woman into second place.
The comedy, starring Leslie Mann, Kate Upton and Cameron Diaz, took $14 million to win the silver medal position.

In third, Heaven Is For Real continues its popular run with a further $8.7 million to add to its growing total, while Captain America: The Winter Soldier is at No4 with $7.8 million.
A hairline behind, Rio 2 rounds off the Top 5 with $7.6 million.
Elsewhere in the Top 10, Brick Mansions - the penultimate film made by Paul Walker - is in sixth spot with $3.5 million, Divergent is at No7 with $2.7 million and The Quiet Ones is at No8 with $2 million.
The Top 10 is finished off by God's Not Dead with $1.8 million and The Grand Budapest Hotel with $1.7 million.
It's an impressive total for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the second film in the hero's last series - starring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst - pulled in $88 million in its first Friday-to-Sunday window; and $180 million in its first six days.
