She teamed the faded black figure-hugging jeans with a crisp white shirt featuring three-quarter-length cuffed sleeves.
To accentuate her shapely legs, she donned a pair of Michael Kors pointed satin pumps with red paisley pattern - adding an elegant pop of colour to her look.
She left her hazelnut locks straight and sleek around her shoulders and went for a long side-swept fringe.
While chatting to the hosts of This Morning, Katie discussed how she was drawn to her role in the upcoming drama.

'I really loved the script, and then I read the book, and I immediately understood why it's so beloved,' she said. 'I think these themes are very important, and what I love about the movie is, you know, you really see this extreme society.'
The society she was talking about in the sci-fi novel was one without conflict, wars, sadness, love or emotion.
Katie explained: 'No war, no pain, but then you see Jonas go through having all these memories and these beautiful human moments, and it's wonderful to see on screen these wonderful life moments.
'To me, the movie is very emotional when you see it. It's a celebration of life in many ways because you're seeing what happens when you take away freedom.'

One of the notable scenes is when her character's child asks her if she loves him even though the concept of love is forbidden in their world.
'In this society, we're not supposed to speak of such words,' Katie said. 'And so, it was an interesting role to play because, you know, she is the keeper of these rules, and yet she has this child who's been chosen to start breaking the rules and experience things that are beyond her level of understanding or experience.'
The Giver is based on the popular 1993 young adult novel of the same name.
Katie stars in The Giver alongside Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, Alexander Skarsgard, and Taylor Swift.
The film hits US theatres on Friday.
