Michael Fassbender has confirmed he will be returning for Prometheus 2, the follow-up to Ridley Scott's 2012 thriller.
The unofficial Alien prequel divided fans but it was recently confirmed a sequel was in the works and now it looks like the Irish star will be back as David the android.
During promo for his latest movie X-Men: Days of Future Past, Michael was asked by film site Collider if he was looking forward to working with Scott again: "For sure. I love Ridley", the actor gushed. "He's a master filmmaker."
His X-Men co-star James McAvoy seemed keen to get more details, turning interviewer as he asked if a sequel was really happening, to which Michael replied "Yeah, but when I don't know."

It's thought Prometheus 2 will arrive in cinemas in March 2016, with Michael Green hired to rewrite the original screenplay draft from Jack Paglen. Green recently worked with Scott on the script for his Blade Runner sequel and has also written for small screen successes like Smallville and Heroes.
Ridley Scott is returning to the director's chair with production on the new film set to start in the autumn, after Scott finishes work on his new project Exodus, according to industry reports. Someone might want to tell Michael though.
The Wrap report that the follow-up will be more "alien-y" and more rooted in Scott's 1979 epic, with Fassbender thought to be playing multiple David androids.
