Simon Cowell is so interested by a young knife-thrower's act on Britain's Got Talent tonight that he volunteers to put himself right in the firing line - literally.
The mogul and his colleagues Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams look on as 11-year-old Edward Pinder hurls blades at his his assistant - who is his own mother.
At the end of the act, Cowell asks if he's ever missed. And when Pinder says "No", the judge decides to switch-out with the mum.

He says: "Can I just see if they're real knives? Oh my god!
"Let's just do two Edward okay?"
He then jokes: "Edward, you've never auditioned for me have you?"
Last year he had eggs chucked at him during Richard & Adam's grand finale performance... but the knives surely take the biscuit!
