Hecklers may be the bane of any stage actor's life and even when it comes to friendly heckles, Neil Patrick Harris isn't amused.
The How I Met Your Mother star is currently leading Broadway show Hedwig and the Angry Inch, where he plays a transgender East German punk.
It looks like his performance is going down a storm in New York, as during a performance this week, one fan reportedly couldn't resist yelling out mid-show: "I love you, Neil!".
Neil had a comeback for the vocal audience member though, yelling back in character, "I'm doing something up here, motherf–ker!"

According to the New York Post, Neil's sharp-tongued response was met by "rapturous applause".
The actor's hit show HIMYM came to an end last month after nine years but Neil has plenty of projects lined up.
As well as his Broadway show, the actor will be seen on the big screen later this year opposite Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike in David Fincher's adaptation of smash hit novel Gone Girl.
