Sorry Kate Middleton! Jennifer Lawrence Named Glamour's Best Dressed Woman Of The Year
Oct 2nd 2014, 15:07

Jennifer Lawrence isn't used to losing having won an Oscar last year so it shouldn't come as a huge shocker that she's been named the Best Dressed Woman Of The Year by Glamour magazine, beating the likes of Kate Middleton, Emma Watson and Angelina Jolie, while Tom Hiddleston has completely trumped his stiff competition, coming out on top on the male list.

Incredibly, Hunger Games beauty Jennifer was nowhere near the top 10 last year but she's come a long way, jumping a whopping 47 places to reach the top spot and fending off competition from the likes of Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston. Following closely behind J-Law in second place is her fellow Oscar-winning pal, Lupita Nyong'o who lit up awards season this year with her array of bright, bold and beautiful red carpet options.

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has somehow found her way to third place, despite often being chastised for her casual attire and lack of red carpet etiquette, while Emma Watson, who is known for her sophisticated get-ups but has gotten a little more daring this year, has made it to fourth place. Also in the top 10 is newly married Angelina Jolie sitting at number six, while surprisingly, the Duchess of Cambridge has only managed a measly number seven.

Elsewhere in the top 50, Beyonce just missed out on the top 10 at number 12 while fashion queen Victoria Beckham, who has just opened her first clothing store in London, is at number 15. Kim Kardashian is way behind the fierce competition at number 29, proving her fashion choices have gone way downhill since marrying Kanye West and despite all that influence from the designer world. Rita Ora is trailing way behind at a lowly 38 while Lily Allen scrapes in at 50.

While the British women haven't exactly triumphed on the list, our men have done us proud with impeccably dressed Avengers star Tom Hiddleston soaring his way to the top, making for a very impressive feat considering he had the likes of Robert Pattinson, David Beckham, Benedict Cumberbatch and Henry Cavill following right behind him in the top five.
