The heiress will marry the heir to a European banking fortune...
Nicky Hilton, the younger sister of Paris and one of the heiresses to the Hilton Hotel fortune, is engaged, Us Weekly reported on Tuesday. The 30-year-old accepted a marriage proposal from James Rothschild, her boyfriend of three years, last weekend during a trip to Lake Como. James, who is the heir to a European banking fortune, certainly spared no expense in preparing for the proposal.
"Last month, he actually flew from England (where he is based) to the States to ask her parents for her hand in marriage!" an insider told the magazine. After getting the OK from Rick and Kathy Hilton, James reportedly planned a weekend trip with Nicky to celebrate their anniversary. He proposed to Nicky on a boat in the middle of Lake Como.

"He proposed, got down on one knee and everything. It was incredibly romantic and beautiful," the insider reported.
While it doesn't appear that any wedding plans have been made as of yet, Nicky and James' nuptials will undoubtedly be more glamorous than Nicky's first wedding was. In August 2004, Nicky, who was then 20 years old, married her childhood friend Todd Meister at a Las Vegas wedding chapel after dating him for only three months. Nicky's sister Paris, as well as Nicole Richie, attended the quickie ceremony. Nicky and Todd ended up having their marriage annulled three months later.

To celebrate their engagement, Nicky and James have embarked on a European getaway. They have already journeyed to Milan, Lake Como and Rome. Nicky has been updating her Instagram account with photos from their trip.
