Simon Cowell is constantly bigging up those One Direction boys, so imagine our shock when we read that he might have actually just predicted the end of the band. It can't be true, can it?
Simon has been around throughout 1D's crazy journey since taking the world by storm after coming third in the X Factor back in 2010, but it seems like the media mogul may now be having some doubts in terms of how long the boys are going to be sticking around for.
When quizzed by The Daily Star, Cowell allegedly said when asked about the future of One Direction: "I think they'll make at least two more albums…"
"They're in the middle of one right now. Bands don't stay together forever," he then added.

The X Factor judge also discussed whether or not Harry, Zayn, Louis, Liam or Niall would eventually go solo.
Si said, according to the paper: "Eventually I'm sure they all will."

And this isn't the first time Simon has spoken out about the British superstars this month.1D are currently touring the globe on their Where We Are stadium tour and with their support band 5 Seconds Of Summer slowly getting bigger and bigger, Cowell previously said that he thought that the Kiss You superstars needed to put a bit more effort in to keep up.
According to The Daily Star (again), Simon said, when asked about 5SOS' recent success: "It does mean 1D have to up their game a bit. We knew a lot of boybands would follow but the competition is tough at the moment."

Despite Simon seeming a little unsure about where 1D can go from here, the band's army of fans have made sure to let the boys know that they'll still be with them every step of the way.
