Ed Sheeran To Be An Usher At Courteney Cox And Johnny McDaid's Wedding?

While you might think the most important role Ed Sheeran will get at the wedding of Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid is wedding singer, think again because reports are claiming that the Don't hitmaker has bagged himself the role of usher, and is even a contender for the best man slot!

The former Friends star and her Snow Patrol beau got engaged in June this year and it was in fact the lovely Ed that thought they'd be the perfect match and introduced them.

"She has never been happier. And even though it's her second marriage, she would like people important to be there, " a source close to Cox told The Sun. "Not only is Ed great mates with Johnny, he is a close friend of Courteney's.

"Ed said yes immediately when asked. Johnny's other best pal, singer Foy Vance, is also an usher. It's between him and Ed for best man - they'll probably share it."

The flame-haired cutie became good friends with Cox when she let him stay in the guest house of her Malibu mansion rent-free last year while Ed was writing his new album. Who'd have thought it?

And it seems like the songwriter is quite the matchmaker, seeing as Courteney and Johnny have been almost inseparable since meeting at the end of last year. By April, Ed let slip that the pair were already living together and revealed that he wouldn't be surprised if they soon tied the knot and, of course, he was right again as the pair announced their engagement in June.

Speaking at the premiere of the Cougar Town star's directorial debut for 'Just Before I Go' in April, Courteney gushed about her new man, saying: "He supports me creatively. He really believe in the movie... and not just because he likes me, though I know that helps."

In fact, the musician supported his fiancee so much, that he even wrote three tracks for the movie! "We get to kiss between takes," the 37-year-old said about working with Cox. "Courteney is the most completely confident person I've ever met - at everything."

The couple are expected to exchange their vows in Ireland's Ashford Castle later this year, with another ceremony planned back in California.

Woah! you couldn't sort us out could you Ed?
