Many fans thought Cheryl Cole's big moment this year would be returning to The X Factor in the autumn.

Little did they know the 30-year-old Girls Aloud singer has filmed the sassiest television advert known to man, and it's set to air in the UK in under two weeks.

With heavy eyeliner flicked up at the sides, Cheryl, who is the spokesmodel of L'Oréal Paris Feria Go Louder campaign, is debuting voluminous, glossy blonde locks – tossing her hair from side to side in the brand new advert.

Ever the performer, Cheryl took her acting skills to a new height for the new Go Louder film, created to advertise L'Oréal Paris Feria Extreme Ombré hair colourant.

Rocking her new extreme dip-dye, Cheryl appears in her first music-led film for the brand, dancing along to the track Pretty Girl by Stockholm Syndrome.

Speaking about the film, she said: 'The thing I love about being a blonde is that you feel that you can have more fun, there's that famous quote, 'blondes have more fun' and I think they do!'

The film, directed by renowned Swedish director Jonas Akerlund, is based around the star's dance off between her new loud hair colour and the volume of the music track.

Cheryl's hair transformation sees the trend for dip-dye taken to a new level for spring 2014 – with stars such as Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Cheryl's Girls Aloud band mate Kimberly Walsh all trying out the new style for the spring.

Fans are used to seeing the 30-year-old with her natural darker hair so it came as a huge shock to see the star with such wild, bright locks at the X Factor UK press day.

At the conference, Cheryl spoke out about new locks saying: 'A different hair colour gives you a boost. It makes you feel new and different.

'With spring just around the corner, it felt like the right time to debut my 'rooted blonde ombre' look created using the new L'Oréal Feria Extreme Ombré in Blonde.

'I have experimented with blonde and ombres in the past but this time I wanted to opt for a more striking colour. Am I having more fun as a blonde this time round? I'll let you know!'
