Chris Brown's trial for misdemeanor assault has been delayed until June, after Christopher Hollosy, his bodyguard who was convicted for assault regarding the same incident appealed against the guilty verdict he was handed at a Washington court earlier this week.
The 24 year-old had expected to begin his trial today after he was accused of assaulting Parker Adams outside of a Washington D.C. hotel last October. The victim claims to have been hit by both Brown and Hollosy during the alltercation at around 4am in the morning.
Hollosy was scheduled to testify as a witness in Brown's case, but a judge ruled the case would be delayed until the appeal had been settled. Prosecutors refused to give Hollosy immunity in Brown's case as they feared he would lie. He will make his next appearance in Washington on June 25 for a status hearing.

According to Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos, the star will now be transported back to Los Angeles where he is being held after his probation was revoked last December according to NBC who claimed it would take around a week for him to travel the country via Con Air.
It's unknown what this delay, which NBC claim could last for six months, will mean for Brown's probation. Brown was on probation following a 2009 assault conviction when the Washington D.C. incident occured. Due to the charges it was revoked in December, with a judge placing Brown in rehab to deal with amongst other issues, anger management.
He is due in court next week in Los Angeles when a judge is expected to rule as to whether he has violated the terms of his probation. If he has, the star could be given up to four years in jail.
