Drake may not have had his own headline slot at this year's Coachella Music Festival but that didn't stop him from hopping on stage to join rising star Jhene Aiko for an impromptu set last night.
26-year-old Jhene was performing for the first time ever at the music event in Indio, California yesterday when she invited some of her musical friends to join her on stage, most notably 'Pound Cake' rapper Drake, who was clearly keen to follow in the footsteps of Jay Z, Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani and Blondie' Debbie Harry who all made surprise appearances over the weekend.

Drake and Jhene teamed up for a performance of their track 'From Time' which features on the Canadian hip-hop star's latest album 'Nothing Was The Same.'
After their duet, Drake told the audience: "This is my first time at Coachella, by the way. I wanna let you know that it's a mutherf**kin honour to be here tonight and you better make some noise for Jhene one time.
"Coachella I go by the name Drizzy Drake!"
Drizzy Drake wasn't the only musician to share Jhene's spotlight with Childish Gambino also joining the R&B songstress on stage for a performance of their hit 'Bed Peace.'

Jhene continued to reel out hits from her critically-acclaimed EP 'Sail Out' including 'The Worst' and 'Stay Ready,' as well as performing covers of Tupac's 'Keep Ya Head Up' and Erykah Badu's classic 'On and On.'
Perhaps Drake, 27, had a clear schedule with his rumoured girlfriend Rihanna enjoying herself not too far away in Los Angeles at the MTV Movie Awards where she performed 'The Monster' alongside Eminem and even won the award for Best Cameo Performance in This Is The End.
