Tonight saw the return of Big Brother and as usual there was a twist involved.
With 10 out of the 16 housemates in the house, it was time for Big Brother to get to work and reveal to the housemates that there was going to be twist. As all the residents of the new Big Brother house gathered in the sitting room, they were told that the public had chosen one housemate to be given a power trip.
And that housemate was 49 year-old Pauline who was given a key to go into the control room.
Once she was in there, she was told that she could choose one housemate to reward and one housemate to punish on the basis of their introduction VTs.

Having seen them all, Pauline decided to reward Mark because they both like Mariah Carey and Matthew because she didn't like how "intolerant" he was being.
With her decision made, the cameras moved to the housemates in the garden where they were told about Pauline's choices. As Big Brother called out the names of Mark and Matthew, they were instructed to step inside a glass box each.
Unaware of why they were in there, the men began to panic. But for Mark, panic soon turned to joy when he was showered with £5,000 in cash as a reward. Matthew on the other hand was elevated in his box and told he was going to stay there for a while.
Well well, it's only the first night and things have already started to get interesting...
