The comedian should be remembered with a statue.
The late actor Rik Mayall will always be remembered for his hilarious roles in Blackadder and The Young Ones among many others. However, pal and former co-star Nigel Planer reckons his friend would have loved to be remembered with a funny statue.
Planer told the Daily Star: "Rik wanted a statue pointing into the distance saying 'Get off my f***ing land!'
"He'd have liked it in his garden but a public one would be great. Maybe in a back street of Soho with him pointing or doing a V-sign!"

Rik's passing came as a big shock to his friends and family, given that he was just 56-years-old at the time of his death, earlier this month.
Planer explained: "They were very close. Rik was very much a family man. It's pretty devastating. Everybody initially thought it was to do with the quad bike accident he had 16 years ago, because he still had to take medication for that and had had some fits. But it was nothing to do with that evidently. His heart gave out just like that – wham!"

He then added: "The loss of Mel Smith and Roger Lloyd Pack was also very sad but this feels more like the loss of somebody before their time because Rik was such a child. He never ever lost that childishness. Somehow with Rik it feels like your golden child has gone.
"He'd be happy for all-time now as he got what he wanted – his name will sum up a whole generation."
Nigel also revealed that a The Young Ones reunion will no longer be happening. "To do The Young Ones in the future without Rik would be sad, would be nothing." he said.
