J-Lo says the diet has helped her lose weight...

Jennifer Lopez has gone vegan—and she's not the only one in her household that has given up meat, dairy and gluten! The singer recently revealed that she made her five-year-old twins Max and Emme take part in her vegan diet as well. Jennifer recently told Us Weekly that the strict animal-product-free diet has helped her lose about 10 pounds.

"When I started doing this, I got the whole household on board," Jennifer, who started the diet as part of a 22-day cleanse, told the magazine. "They won't love everything right away — when you go from regular milk to almond milk or rice milk, it's a big change — but little by little they get into it."

The twins found it hard to give up some of their favorite dairy foods.

"Sometimes my son will be like, 'I want American cheese, I don't like this vegan cheese,'" Jennifer said.

The singer said that since finishing her 22-day diet, she has relaxed her eating habits a little, but still sticks to mostly vegan foods.

"I did full vegan for almost four, five weeks, then I just started incorporating proteins for myself," she said. "The truth is, even if you're 70-80 percent vegan, it's so much better having those vegetables, greens, plant-based stuff. It's going to change your life and health."

Jennifer said that the new lifestyle, which also includes an intense exercise regimen, has helped her lose the last of the baby weight she gained while pregnant with the twins.

"Since I had the babies about six years ago, I had that really stubborn 8 to 10 pounds on me," she told the magazine. "People are used to seeing me be kind of thickish, but when I started eating [vegan], right away I dropped like 8 to 10 pounds. It was a real change, but more than that I felt better and people were like, 'Your energy's better' … everything's better."
