Mrs. Doubtfire Sequel: Actually in the Works!
Apr 17th 2014, 11:44, by Hilton Hater

Dude may soon look like a lady again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox 2000 Pictures is developing a sequel to the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire, the classic comedy that featured Robin Williams dressing as an older female nanny in order to spend time with his children following a divorce.

Williams would actually star in the follow-up and original director Chris Columbus would also return for the sequel.

Mrs. Doubtfire grossed $219 million domestically and $222 million abroad. Williams also won a Golden Globe for his role.

Talk of a sequel has circulated since way back in 2001, with Elf scribe David Berenbaum now attached to write the script.

This news follows the announcement that a Goonies sequel may also hit theaters some time in the fairly near future.

What do you think? Would you go see a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel?
