will.i.am and Cody Wise have soared to the top of the iTunes digital download chart today, hours after the release of new single 'It's My Birthday'.
The song has dethroned Ariana Grande's 'Problem' to become a serious contender for the top spot in next week's official UK Top 40.
Also arriving in force is Jess Glynne, who shoots to No4 with 'Right Here' following the huge success of 'Right Here' with Clean Bandit and 'My Love' with Route 94 earlier this year.

The Vamps are also tracking towards a fourth Top 10 hit, as 'Somebody To You' arrives at No8 with Demi Lovato on guest vocals. The original album cut of the single, meanwhile, is at No35, and an acoustic version is at No78.
The iTunes chart plays a big part in the formation of the listings compiled by the Official Charts Company, but the latter now uses streaming data as well as sales figures when putting the rankings together.
Grande's 'Problem' is expected to be announced later today as the week's chart-topper, after managing to stay in the lead on iTunes and delivering solid numbers on services like Spotify throughout the last week.
will.i.am was last at No1 with Britney Spears in early 2013 with 'Scream and Shout'.
