Pregnant Paula Lane was given some hands on experience at motherhood on Tuesday as she filmed new Coronation Street scenes on location in Manchester.
The 28-year-old actress was on set as cast members from the hugely popular soap filmed a cricket match between fictional Mancunian pubs The Rovers Return and The Flying Horse.
But while show regulars Jimi Mistry and Simon Gregson took to the green as respective characters Kal Nazir and Steve McDonald, Paula – who plays Kylie Platt – stood on the side-lines cradling a baby.

Sporting Kylie's vest top, denim skirt and patterned leggings, she was seen cradling the child in the crook of her left arm as filming got underway.
Other cast-members on set included Kym Marsh, Helen Worth, Mikey North and show newcomer Les Dennis, who was seen taking a breather on the sidelines.
Paula broke the news of her first pregnancy with childhood sweetheart Tom Shaw via her Twitter account on June 5, writing: '@SirTomShaw and I are thrilled to announce we have a Christmas pud in the oven! SURPRISE!'
Her announcement came three weeks after she married Tom in front of guests including Corrie castmates Jane Danson, Helen Worth and Jack P. Shepherd - who plays screen husband David.

Gotcha! Jack P. Shepherd, who plays Kylie's husband David Platt, was also on set in his cricket whites
The actress, who hails from Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, started dating Tom when they were both teenage students at Huddersfield Technical College before announcing his marriage proposal on Twitter in 2011.
Earlier this year she proclaimed she knew Tom was 'the one' and hoped to marry him one day.
She told the Daily Star Sunday: 'We're feeling very lucky at the moment as we're both in a position where we're working. I think we're just enjoying being young, having holidays and loving life as a couple.

'But saying that, I'd definitely say yes to getting married if he asked me. I think he's waiting to make sure it feels right - but he's had long enough.
'We've been together for years. He's definitely the one, there's no doubt in my mind. It's taking him a little longer to figure it all out. But we're very happy.'
Her Corrie character will be written out of the show before Christmas while she goes on maternity leave – and bosses reportedly devised a sensational exit for Kylie after son Max is diagnosed with ADHD.

'Over the weeks we see a real change in Max's behaviour and what we are going to learn is that he is suffering from ADHD,' show boss Stuart Blackburn told the Daily Star.
'We have done a lot of research on this and it is going to take us to a point where Max is going to be put on medication. Kylie hits a really low point. She is drained and in that moment of madness she takes Max's medication.
'She is utterly ashamed and husband David is disgusted when he finds out. This is, out of all the bad decisions Kylie has made, the worst one ever.
'It is going to have a devastating effect on her, her health and those around her, and it is going to bring real trouble to the Platt household.'
