And now Lily Allen has hit back at her critics with her new single URL Badman, which sees her destroy internet trolls and bloggers in the accompanying video.
It's the fifth track taken from her number one album Sheezus, and the almost four minute long clip - released on Wednesday - sees the 29-year-old turn the 'haters' into digital smears.

The outspoken star's lyrics include: 'I get vexed if you don't appreciate me... real talk, I'll put the world to rights.
'And when I'm a big boy I'm gonna write for Vice... I'm a URL Badman and you're dead to me
'cause I'm a broadband champion'.
The video went straight to the number one spot on the Billboard Twitter Trending 140 chart following its release, reported Billboard.

The vibrant number, directed by Sonya Sier, kicks off with Lily perched behind a seemingly innocent young man as he writes in his bedroom.
The blogger is then seen becoming a multi-coloured smudge, from the centre out, while the star shows off her figure in a very shiny outfit.

In April, Lily talked to Rolling Stone about the inspiration behind the tune. She said: 'I wrote that after I put out the video for Hard Out Here and everyone said I was racist. I was really alarmed by that reaction. I stand by that video, and I know what my intention was.
'A lot of that negative stuff came from females and the feminist blogger scene. What really p****d me off was the misogynistic, hipster, male bloggers that went after me in a completely different way.'
