Jul 3rd 2014, 13:36

The first look at Henry Cavill in Man Of Steel follow-up Batman V Superman was released last week and now the first image showing the actor in character as Superman has surfaced online. How exciting!

Henry and his huge biceps can be seen in the shot, with him wearing the Superman get-up and red cape, and now that we've seen Ben Affleck and Cavill in the eagerly anticipated movie's promo shots - we have to say, Henry definitely pips Affleck to the post in terms of who is the hottest. Don't you think?

Batman V Superman is Zack Snyder's hugely anticipated sequel to smash hit Man Of Steel. Stars of the previous movie, Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne are back, while Jason Momoa, Holly Hunter, Jeremy Irons, Tao Okamoto and Callan Mulvey will also star in the movie set for release in the UK on April 29, 2016.

In an interview with USA Today, director Snyder recently revealed that the new film will put more challenges in front of Superman.

"We've both created this guy and we can push him around a little bit," he said. "The more time I spend with Henry, the more he's Superman to me."

As for Batman, Snyder said that he feels the need to re-invent the character.

"It's cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys," he revealed.
