Alesha Dixon Hints At Britain's Got Talent Departure: 'My Priority Right Now Is Music'
Jul 6th 2014, 09:48

Our favourite Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has been dropping hints that her time on the popular ITV show may have come to an end, revealing that she is putting her music career before her slot on the coveted judging panel.

The former Mis-Teeq singer and rapper joined the show in 2012 after Simon Cowell poached the popular television star from rival show Strictly Come Dancing. But after a brief run, the Breathe Slow hitmaker could be walking away to reignite her reign in the charts.

Show boss Simon Cowell recently promised the series would be undergoing a "shake-up" ahead of next year and if Alesha's latest comments are anything to go by, her time on the panel could be done.

"I'm not sure about Britain's Got Talent yet," she told the Daily Star. "Ideally, I'd love to do both my music and BGT, but my priority right now is music.

"I'm back in the studio and I'm really excited. It's important to remind people why I became a judge in the first place."

Since her triumph on Strictly Come Dancing, Alesha enjoyed chart success with her sophomore album, The Alesha Show, which was certified Platinum, spawning the hit singles, the Boy Does Nothing, Breathe Slow and Let's Get Excited. However her follow-up, The Entertainer failed to match the same success prompting her to part ways with her label Atlantic/Asylum.

Are you excited to hear new music from Alesha, or should she stay put on BGT?
