What A Hero! Harrison Ford To Return To Star Wars Set Against Doctor's Orders?
Jun 19th 2014, 14:15

Harrison Ford is one tough cookie. Just a week after a hydraulic door crushed his ankle during shooting for Star Wars: Episode VII, new reports suggest the actor is determined to return to set as soon as soon as possible.

The 71-year-old was filming scenes for JJ Abrams' new movie last Friday, when one of the hydraulic doors on the Millennium Falcon fell on him. After being airlifted to a local hospital, the actor was found to have suffered an ankle injury.

Despite initial reports suggesting the star will take eight weeks off to recover, new sources suggest Harrison is refusing to listen to his doctor's orders and will return to set soon.

"Clearly he won't be able to do any physically demanding scenes and even walking will be a problem," a close source has told the Express. "But there are certain scenes that can be worked around Harrison's injury."

Harrison will reprise his role as Han Solo in Episode VII (WENN)

A spokesperson for the movie has stated that their "main priority is making sure he is OK" before working out any changes in the shooting schedule. "The initial day or two it was hard to move things around but now we can juggle things. There are lots of other actors in the movie so it is not a disaster. We are still confident the film can stay on schedule," another source added.

Harrison's son Ben Ford told Access Hollywood last week that his father will need "a plate and screws" put into his ankle as a result of the nasty accident.

Get well soon Harrison!
