The amfaR gala is one of the most glamorous events of Cannes, if not of the entire showbiz calendar.
And one man Рproducer Oscar Generale Рdecided to make it that extra bit special by proposing to his girlfriend Рmodel Denny Denny M̩ndez - in front of none other than Hollywood actor John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston.
Fortunately for Oscar, judging by the expression on the former Miss Italy's face it was a 'yes' – much to the delight of John and his wife.

As Oscar, who is known for his work in celebrity product placement, went down on one knee John and his wife couldn't help but point as they arrived at the star studded event at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday evening.
The romantic display seemed to put the Grease actor in a loved up mood as he appeared affectionate towards his wife throughout the evening.
It wasn't hard to see why though as Kelly looked stunning in a long red lace dress with jewels draped around her neck.

Her hair was styled in loose curls and she added dark eye make-up as well as a dash of red lipstick.
John meanwhile looked dapper in a navy blazer, as he showed off a rather bizarre and very small goatee.
Once inside the venue the couple, who have been married for 22 years, cosied up while eating dinner and watching a stunning fashion show featuring the likes of Jessica Hart and Irina Shayk.
Their romantic display comes after a rocky couple of years following reports in The National Enquirer back April 2013 that the Travoltas were 'headed toward a $220 million divorce.'

Other highlights of the gala included an auction, during which famed British artist Damien Hirst will auction off a gilded woolly mammoth skeleton encased in a gold tank.
Titled Gone but not Forgotten, the three-meter mammal joins Hirst's famous shark in formaldehyde and bisected cow in his Natural History series.
The one-of-a kind piece is expected to raise millions of dollars for the charity's work in the fight against AIDS. Past auction items have included a trip to space with Leonardo DiCaprio and a kiss from George Clooney.
Held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, the amfAR gala is one of the highlights of the Cannes Film Festival attracting support from global stars such as Justin Bieber, Heidi Klum and Aishwarya Rai.
